Rally for CBA housing at the mayor’s house! Sat. 6/11

Saturday, June 11: Gather at 10:15am at STOP, 602 E 61st to ride our bus. Or gather at 11:30am at St Luke’s of Logan Square, 3325 W Wrightwood, by Mayor Lightfoot’s house. If you’re planning to join, try to let us know above, so we can plan and make sure we have bus space!

Join us to rally, and stand with us as our leaders tell the news media:

Long-time working-class Black households can’t afford housing costs, which are rising especially in our gentrifying South Side neighborhoods.

South Shore renters and home-owners need a Community Benefits Agreement ordinance, now! obamacba.org/southshore

And Woodlawn needs all 52 of the City’s vacant lots for affordable housing, now! This is the land committed in the Woodlawn ordinance our CBA coalition got passed back in 2020. After you sign up, read here about the land we need most, like the huge lot on 63rd/Blackstone’s south-west corner.

Recent decades have already displaced too many people Black people from Chicago. We must stop displacement.
